Meet Arnel Ambrosio, 35 yrs old from Kabacan, Cotabato. He has been with Dev Partners for more than 4 years. Currently, he is working on the Loan Market account as a Software Developer.

His duties are mainly assigned as Release Manager who manages the release process to Production and other environments. He is also assigned as part of the team as API/database developer, so part of the time is to help the team in writing code for API and database level.

I asked Arnel a series of questions about the company and how he is doing well as a team player.

How do you describe the company's culture?

Dev Partners is a family business that treats its employees with respect and value. The environment is “Fun and good ambiance”. There’s a work-life balance that gives me time to do things I am passionate about, time with family, friends and work.

What is the core value of the company that you think is applicable to your daily lives?

How challenged do you feel in your current role?

I am challenged to keep learning and being updated with the tech stack the company’s using.

Has your role in meeting company objectives been effectively explained?

Yes, I am fully aware of my roles and responsibilities.

What types of training or development interest you most?

Software architecture, Artificial Intelligence, and cloud computing.

Are the resources enough to make you successful in your job?

It is enough that helps my team become successful in any given tasks or projects.

What do you like most about the company and the least favorite?

Treating its employees like a family. Least favorite is when the fridge runs out of food :)

How do you motivate yourself and your favorite motto or quotes in life?

By thinking I have not enough to be good at something, I need to keep pushing. Humble yourself before the Lord and He will lift you up, James 4:10

What will be your advice to your fellow teammates and employer?

For my teammates to strive to be better, keep on reading and practice. Learn to do things beyond your comfort zone.

For my employer, Dev Partners, choose attitude over skills, skills can be learned and can be taught, attitude is hard.

Would you recommend working here to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, Dev Partners is a great place to work if you are looking for a company that values culture. I will recommend it because the company has a great culture and treats employees with respect and value. I am working with a project that is aligned to my skills and no time tracking, it is more on commitment. I feel like we are one big family here and our welfare is their highest priority.
